ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS CLASSES (£96)

Tuesday mornings 10.30 to 12.30 commencing 24th March. 6 weeks split into a two 3 week blocks with a break for Easter.

Week one will be from 10.30 to 13.30.

Thursday evenings 7.00 to 9.00 commencing 26th March for 6 weeks.

Week one will be from 7.00 to 9.30.

Suitable for anyone who has never tried crochet before. Price includes yarn, set of hooks, stitch markers, a cushion filler and a simple cloth bag, plus tea/coffee and home baked treats each week.

I'll be covering the basics of crochet and you'll learn the stitches required to make a granny square cushion, which, if you do your homework, will be completed by the end of the six weeks.

BEGINNERS CLASS (£96 or £75 if continuing on from previous Absolute Beginners class)

Monday mornings 10.30 to 12.30 commencing 23rd March for 6 weeks, split into 2 sets of three so we can have a break on Easter Monday on 13th April. Week one will be from 10.30 to 13.30

Suitable for anyone who has a small amount of crochet experience. You should already be able to confidently do the following if you are considering this class;

chain stitch

slip stitch

US double crochet stitch (known as treble crochet in UK terminology)

I'll be revising the basics of crochet and you'll practise the stitches required to make a granny square cushion and, or, a simple baby blanket.

REFRESHERS CLASS (£96 or £60 if bringing your own yarn and equipment)

Thursday mornings 10.30 to 12.30 commencing 26th March. Week one will be from 10.30 to 13.30.

4 places available.

This class option is suitable for you if you have crocheted in the past and want to refresh your skills. There will be a strong social and collaborative element to this class with lots of opportunity to experiment and and improvise as we start a sampler stitch baby blanket.

At the start of a new year, in fact a new decade, why not kick start this next phase of your life by learning a new skill while making new friends?

In the comfort of my own living room you will receive teaching, guidance and support in a small group with lots of chat and good company.

Please note that I live in rural County Down and you will need your own transport as public transport is thin on the ground. The classes will last 2 hours each week (apart from the first week which will be a little longer to allow for introductions) for 6 weeks.

3 types of crochet class are available; Absolute Beginners, Beginners and Refreshers. All materials and refreshments are provided but the Refreshers students can opt to bring yarn and equipment from their own stash should they wish to.

I keep being asked if I will teach a crochet class so I reckon, that with the evenings closing in there's no better time to teach an age old craft for creating creature comforts! Roll on hygge evenings curled up on the sofa!
I'm therefore excited to offer a 6 week course on Tuesday mornings starting on the 29th of this month (Oct 2019). The class participant numbers will be kept very low allowing me to give the sort of support that makes a class of this kind both enjoyable and productive. As we'll be gathering in my cosy living room in front of the open fire, there will be a relaxed, informal atmosphere where everyone can feel welcome and at ease. Please note that if this class sells out and there is enough interest for another, I'll open up for a second group of 4 on a separate morning.

So, here are the details;

• 6 week course

• Classes will be held in my home in the County Down countryside near Crossgar, Saintfield and Ballynahinch

• Suitable for complete beginners

• Tues mornings starting 29th Oct.

• 29th Oct, 5th, 12th, 19th & 26th Nov and 3rd Dec

• £96 per person including yarn, set of hooks, stitch markers, a cushion filler and a simple cloth bag, plus tea/coffee and home baked treats each week.

• I'll be covering the basics of crochet and you'll learn the stitches required to make a granny square cushion, which, if you do your homework, will be completed by the end of the six weeks.

• Payment will be in advance and in full. It will be impossible for me to offer refunds as (a) the class size makes margins very tight (b) costs will have been incurred with the advance purchase of your kit. Should you need to cancel you may transfer your place to someone else but this will be up to you to organise. If you cannot find someone to transfer your place to, I will post you out your kit.

• Week one will be from 10.30 to 13.30 and the remaining 5 weeks will be from 10.30 to 12.30

want your smartphone photos to look more professional and "Insta-ready"
want to be more confident and knowledgeable about sharing your photos on social media platforms

Saturday 11th May - 1400-1700

This class will cover capture, editing and uploading of smartphone photographs. Please bring your smartphone with you.

Afternoon refreshments are included in the price.

Saturday 8th June - 1400-1700

This class will cover photo styling, flatlays and shelfies. Please bring your smartphone and a selection of small objects (3 to 6) which you might wish to photograph.

Afternoon refreshments are included in the price.

We are offering these classes at an introductory price of £30 per class or £50 for both classes.
